Small shrubs and grasses dot the landscape of this barren tundra. Game abounds here during the spring and summer months, but are only found on the southern outskirts during the fall and winter. Occasionally there are small trees, though they are often knocked over or have been stripped bare by the larger game. Small ponds of fresh water can be found throughout the area.
