Many eons ago, a war was waged between four demi-gods and the darkness. It was long thought that the clans of these gods had been victorious. Those remaining members of the four clans returned to their homes, giving themselves new names and giving birth to the four tribes we know today as Clax, Ros, Eurus and Caleo though still the darkness is not too far away.
Rumors of a fifth clan, the Umbra, followers of the dark ways has reached the ears of the other clans. Peace was shattered once more and so again, the clan's fates hung in the balance. Rising up, the four clans of Anima, joined by a new ally, the Surmist Clan, pushed back the darkness and scattered it's followers far across the lands.
Ten years of peace and prosperity have passed by and there are few, if any who count the old tales as anything more than a bedtime story. The creatures of Anima and Kindra breath easily but it is often said that the fate of one, can change the lives of many.
